stuarts blanket day 6 i think

Posted By on September 5, 2012

Its beginning to take a long long time to go round. Heck he last round of blue the 6 rows was a ball of wool. Its now 161 stitches per point. Well thankfully only 2 and a bit more rounds to go. Then someone can have his new blanket. Hope he likes it

Something that always looks good..

Tunisian cables:

A good youtube video on proper cables.

You can also fake cables using double crochets in lines below which look equally effective, and are a lot less fiddly but nothing beats the real deal.

Stuarts blanket day 4

I should have taken this photo yesterday. This is the blanket end of Saturday. Didn’t do any today. Bad me.

It seems I need 1 more wide and short band and then I’m done!

Tamzin’s blanket! (Planning)

Posted By on August 29, 2012

After a good while spent looking through many of my stitch books, I now fear I should have gotten her looking at my pattern books instead.. After all, the original plan was white/cream textured blanket.. Heres what she picked, and she wants it in buff fleck and black

Stuart’s star

Well. This is made following Mikey’s tutorial from youtube. However. I do neef to point out when he says 5 hours for a baby one. This had taken so far around 6 and its no where near big enough for a baby.

Been asked to do a blanket!

Posted By on August 23, 2012

As you know I like to make blankets, its what makes me happy. Someones asked me to do her one, and I know I have a few others to make.. Things like a 3rd tardis do need a bit of a gap before I do that, and my friends scarf (Im sorry its a banner!) also needs a bit of a windup of enthusiasm just purely cos that will be the bigges thing I ever made.

However, I’ve been asked to make another kinda snuggle sized blanket, all I need to do is pin down properly what she wants, we have come up with white/cream with textures…

future plans

So. Playing with ideas for next blanket. I wanted to swirl but black on the outside line didn’t work it disappeared when the swirl came round. Worked better on the inside. Then I tried a 6 point star.

What else do you think would work?
